Ocean Blue Day Spa ("we", "us") provides remedial massage, head spa and related treatments in Footscray, Victoria. Because we provide health services, we follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we look after it.
What we collect
- Your name, phone number and email address when you book, call, text or send us a message.
- Booking details such as the treatment, date and time, and your booking history.
- Health information you give us so we can treat you safely, such as injuries, medical conditions, medications or pregnancy. For remedial massage this is recorded in your treatment notes.
- Your health fund details when we process a claim through HICAPS in the shop.
How we use it
- To book, confirm, remind you of and manage your appointments.
- To plan and provide a safe, suitable treatment.
- To process payments and health fund claims.
- To reply to your questions.
We do not sell your information. We only send marketing messages if you ask for them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
- Square, which runs our online booking and payments. Card details are entered on Square's secure system and are not stored by us. See Square's privacy notice for how it handles your data.
- Your health fund, through HICAPS, when you ask us to make a claim.
- Anyone else only when the law requires it or you agree to it.
Some of these services may store information outside Australia.
How we keep it safe
We keep records in secure systems and only staff who need your information can see it. We keep treatment records for as long as the law and health fund rules require, then destroy them securely.
Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you by contacting us. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

The website itself doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and the booking calendar is provided by Square.
